Any painting style can develop the artist’s skills; the important in this case is the predisposition for learning something new. Oil Paintings permit to do different effects and strokes during the paint process. The first step before you begin to paint is getting the adequate brushes, not all brushes have the same function, remember it. There are brushes of diverse sizes and shapes.
When we talk about paint supports, painters usually prefer using the cotton canvas; however, there are other kinds of surface in the market, for example: linen canvas, boards and paper canvas. The palette and easel are important tools too; try to use products of quality. If you use good products your Oil Paintings will have better results. Now, it is time to investigate about one of the most famous painters in the history.
Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn or simply Rembrandt (July 15, 1606 – October 4, 1669) was a recognized Dutch painter. Rembrandt is considered the most important painter in Dutch history and one of the greatest painters and printmakers in European art history. He belonged to the Dutch Golden Age and majority of his works are located in The Netherlands, especially in Rembrandt Museum and Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Portraits are typical in Rembrandt, he painted many of them.

Most of Rembrandt’s works are Oil Paintings.
